We support children’s education in Ghana
“Helping one person won’t change the whole world, but it can change the world for one person.”
Currently, we are simultaneously implementing three key assistance programs supporting children in Ghana. We focus on their health and education. The Nutrition Program provides daily warm meals, helping children combat malnutrition and develop better. The Educational Workshops enhance practical and theoretical skills of the youth, covering a wide range of topics from sciences to creative arts. Additionally, the Menstrual Education supports young girls by increasing their health awareness and confidence during adolescence. Through these initiatives, we strive for real changes in the lives of young Ghanaians.
Nutrition Program
The Akra Foundation’s Nutrition Program supports children from Ticheli in Ghana. We provide them with daily warm meals, clothing, and books. This way, children who often suffer from malnutrition can develop better and focus on learning.

Educational Workshops
Educational workshops for Polish schools – this is a unique opportunity to learn about African culture through creative activities. Participants learn to play drums, create African masks and jewelry, and discover the traditions and daily life of the inhabitants.

Menstrual Education
We organize educational workshops and provide reusable products, teaching girls how to sew pads themselves. Menstrual poverty is a serious problem that affects many girls and women in Ghana.

We are a charitable foundation dedicated to supporting children’s education in Ghana. We focus mainly on providing children from the school in Ticheli with the tools necessary for learning. However, we also strive to improve the living conditions of the local community. That’s why we help in various ways.
About us
The AKRA Foundation for the School in Ticheli
The School of Talent & Creative Arts is located in Ticheli – a small village in Northern Ghana. The facility was built in 2017 by an amazing couple – a Ghanaian and an American.
They were assisted by volunteers and the students themselves, whose dream was to attend school. This is a place where children from the poorest farming families in the region receive education. The school accommodates children aged 3 to 15 years.

Do you want to support our mission? We offer many ways to join us and help children in Ghana.
You can make a donation or adopt a child remotely. Adoption can be undertaken by individuals, couples, groups of friends, companies, or school classes.
Every gesture of support is significant and contributes to real changes in the lives of children in Ghana.
We believe that every child deserves a chance for a better tomorrow, and we work every day to make that vision a reality.
Our completed projects
Our projects are a testament to the power of collective action and commitment. With the support of our donors and partners, we have been able to implement a number of initiatives that have made a real difference to the quality of life of children and communities in Ghana.
We have built wells that provide access to clean drinking water, and kitchens that deliver hot meals to students every day. Our nutrition and education programs support children’s development, giving them a chance for a better future.
These projects are just the beginning of our journey, and each achievement motivates us to continue working for those who need our help.
AKRA Foundation News
The AKRA Foundation was created out of love for Africa and helping others. We are a group of young people who have been involved in volunteering in Ghana and abroad for many years. The idea to start the foundation was born after returning from Ghana, where we helped at the School of Talent and Creative Arts. We want to use our experience and continue to support the education and development of children in Ghana.
