Who are we?
Love for helping others
The Akra Foundation was born out of a love for Africa and a desire to help. We are a group of young, passionate individuals who have been involved in various volunteer initiatives both in Poland and abroad for years.
The idea of establishing the foundation arose in our hearts after returning from Ghana, where we had the honor of supporting the activities of the School of Talent and Creative Arts located in Tamale.

Our mission
Our mission is to support children in Ghana by providing access to education, improving health conditions, and supplying basic resources such as fresh drinking water, warm meals, and hygiene products. We believe that even the smallest help can bring about great changes. We implement projects that open new opportunities for children and create lasting, positive changes, giving them a chance for a better future.

Our vision
It is a world of equal opportunities, where every child, regardless of birthplace, has access to education, health, and decent living conditions. We aim to create a future where children from Ghana can realize their dreams, develop talents, and build a better life for themselves and their communities. Through our actions, we strive to break down barriers of poverty and inequality, supporting the younger generation in fully utilizing their potential and creating positive changes in their environment.

Our values
We base our actions on values that are key to us, guiding our mission, driving our activities, and ensuring the success of our projects.
Cooperation
We collaborate with local communities, volunteers, and partners, which allows us to effectively help and implement real changes.
Equality and accessibility
We strive to ensure equal access to education, health, and basic resources, regardless of gender, status, or origin.
Education
Our projects support the intellectual development and practical skills of children in Ghana, giving them a chance to fulfill their dreams.
Empathy and respect
We act with empathy, understanding, and respect for the culture and traditions of Ghana. Our support is always based on building dignity and trust.
Sustainable development
We focus on lasting solutions that have a long-term impact on the lives of children and communities. We support the development of local initiatives.
AKRA Foundation – Our Team
We are a Polish-German group of friends united by a shared passion for helping and experiences gained during volunteering in various parts of the world. These experiences inspired us to establish a foundation with the mission of supporting children in Ghana.
Our team includes a doctor, a doctoral student, an English philologist, a psychologist, and an educator—each of us brings unique skills and knowledge to the foundation to collectively improve the lives of our young Ghanaian friends.
Our foundation is proof that cross-border cooperation is not only possible but also extremely fruitful. Borders do not pose obstacles for us; instead, they enrich our activities, allowing us to draw from diverse experiences and perspectives.
